Afternoon Tea at Curious Kitchen
At Curious Kitchen, there’s an afternoon tea for all tastes and ages; no one has to miss out. Alongside a perfectly constructed classic afternoon tea with homemade fruit buttermilk scones; enjoy smoked salmon, cream cheese and cucumber sandwiches as well. The sweeter choices include buttermilk pannacotta rhubarb and ginger for something a little different.
The Curious Kitchen has a few different choices to suit everyone.
The Gentlemen’s afternoon tea is a one-of-a-kind interpretation of afternoon tea. It features a mini beer battered fish and chips, outdoor reared sausage roll with Bramley apple sauce and a delicious smoked bacon scotch egg to name a few.
Wash it all down with a half a pint of Thwaites Original Ale for the perfect alternative. It may be called a Gentlemen’s afternoon tea, but this isn’t exclusively for men!
For the younger members of the family, take a seat in a cosy booth, all set and ready for a beautiful afternoon tea. Curious Kitchen’s previous children’s afternoon tea was based around the Alice in Wonderland Mad Hatters tea party theme.
Served on wooden boards, there were tasty treats which consisted of a selection of finger sandwiches, pink meringue with whipped cream and berries. Also not forgetting the wonderfully buttery Queen of Heart’s shortbread dodger, tutti frutti scone with clotted cream, jam and pate de fruit! All this was finished off with a ‘drink me’ pink lemonade in a glass bottle.
A gorgeous edible garden with chocolate soil, flowers and an extra special golden ticket for the Willy Wonka’s Tea Party in October was a hit. The adults didn’t miss out; they enjoyed the luxurious additions of rich chocolate truffle squares, liquorice macarons and a few extra savoury sandwich fillings.
For a real celebration, or just because you deserve a treat, upgrade your afternoon tea to include a glass of bubbly, whether it’s prosecco or Champagne, and feel truly spoilt at Curious Kitchen.
